Are you ready ?

As one leaf differs from the other so the details of your item will vary.
Feel proud of a truly personalized item, but be sure you are ready for it;

Cracks and splits are a part of nature, these may appear and disappear.

Knots and scars are the result of growth process over many years; it is a crucial part to value.

Inlay pieces may be found in holes and knots and are handmade to create a smooth but unique surface,

Color differences are a result of natural variations. It is no defect but a charm, unable to copy or “repair”.

Transport

At moment shipping a zero tolerance is our principle and all items are assembled and pictured before packaging, but attention to details stays always forefront;

When your item arrives it is important to inspect the packaging,

Damaged packaging is an indication something occurred in transit,

In the event you discover damage or any defect please mail us immediately,

We may ask to sent photos and stop unpacking,

Also report any damage by noting it on the accompanying delivery documents.

Assembling

All is designed to give many years of use and joy, but common sense is the most important defence in caring for your item.

Due to the weight and volume obtain assistance when assembling,

Avoid tilting the item on one side or one part,

Do not drag the item across the floor, always lift before moving,

Make sure the item stands level for smooth opening of doors and drawers,

Be aware of its intended purpose, do not hit, stand or hang on it,

Do not place heavy objects on the item,

Avoid abarsive cleaners.

Care

Real care is crucial for the longevity of your item.

Oil finishes are not sufficient to protect the item for water sucking, alcohol and spills, hence we add standard an invisible topcoat.

Use a damp cloth to clean food & drink spills immediately.

Use coasters to avoid rings from wet glasses and vases.

Avoid direct contact with very warm objects.

Avoid a position close to heating sources or air-conditioning.

Direct (sun)light may cause discoloration.

A humidity between 30% and 60% is best; too dry may cause shrinking and splitting, too wet may cause expansion and bowing.

Maintenance

Here some tips how to repair spots and small damages for items with just an Oil finish (without topcoat).

Make sure the surface is clean and dry,

Sand the spot or surface with the P60 and P180 pad followed by the P320,

Stir or shake the bottle of oil well before use,

Use the sponge to apply the oil along the grain,

After a few minutes wipe off the excess with a clean cloth,

Leave it alone for about 6-9 hours drying time.
